Day 01: Delhi / Jammu/Katra

Meet upon arrival at Jammu, you will be pickup and transfer to Katra for overnight. Check in at your reserved hotel.

Day 02: Katra

After breakfast, PAY HOMAGE AT MATA VISHNU DAVI…..Evening return to your reserved hotel for overnight stay.

Day 03: Katra/Jammu/ Srinagar / Moghul Garden & Shankaracharya Temple

After early breakfast, drive to Jammu on time to catch your flight to Srinagar….on arrival at Srinagar transfer to your reserved accommodation .After noon  join a sightseeing trip to Mughal Gardens

With terraced lawns, cascading fountains, paint-box-bright flowerbeds with the panorama of the Dal in front of them - the three Mughal Gardens of Nishat and Shalimar are the Mughal Emperors' concept of paradise and are today very popular places for picnics and excursions.

Shankaracharya Temple

Visit Shankaracharya Temple – 5 km from Nehru Park, the temple stands atop Takht-e-Suleman ( 1100 ft). The temple was built during the reign of Jehangir.  Shankaracharya, a famous hindu saint came to Kashmir in early 9th century south India to preach and learn vedantic & Shaivism thoughts. The temple of Lord Shiva has a Shiv Lingam which worshipped by the Hindus.

Drive to your reserved hotel / houseboat for Dinner and overnight.

Day 04: Srinagar / Sonamarg

Full day excursion to Sonamarg. The distance of about 83 kms will be covered about 2-½ hrs. Sonamarg lies in Sindh Valley streamed with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonamarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan Lake. The everlasting Thajiwas glacier, 3 Km from Sonamarg, provides a chance to enjoy sledge ride on Snow even in mid – summer. Ponies are available up to the glacier from Sonamarg. Drive back from Sonamarg and transfer to Deluxe Houseboat/Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 05: Srinagar/ Shikara ride/Pahalgam

After early breakfast, join a Shikara ride on the lake; visit the floating gardens and on return check out and drive to Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds) via old part of Srinagar. Drive through Saffron fields, visit Awantipura ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiwareman). Drive through the pine forest and along Lidder River. The total distance of about 98 kms will be covered in about 2 hrs. On arrival in Pahalgam check in at your reserved hotel for two nights stay. One can enjoy a pony ride through thick pine forest. Evening Return to your reserved accommodation for Dinner and overnight.

Day 06: Pahalgam

Local Sightseeing….Trip to Aru or Chanderwari valley…on your own by local sumo jeep or ponies

Day 07: Pahalgam/Gulmarg

After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 Mts. above sea level. The distance of 155 kms will be covered in about 3½ hrs. Gulmarg has one Of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. The View enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek upto Khilangmarg which can be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs or enjoy a cable car ride which takes to the highest point. On arrival check in at your reserved hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 08: Gulmarg

Local sightseeing on your own….One can enjoy cable car ride to Affarwat Mountain.

Return for lunch, dinner and overnight at your leisure.

Day 09: Gulmarg/Srinagar/Onwards

After breakfast, drive to Srinagar airport via Srinagar on time to catch your onward flight.

India to Hand Out Free SIM Cards With Tourist Visas

Don't spend your money on SIM cards if you're heading to India this fall. Distribution is expected to begin September 27 here's what you need to know. If you're visiting India and planning on buying a SIM card to use in your own phone for the duration of the trip, you might want to consider postponing your travels until late September. For years, it's been notoriously difficult to procure a SIM in the subcontinent from sourcing a retailer who's even willing to sell to a non-resident to endless paperwork, passport photos, documentation, and a complicated activation protocol. That's why the government has decided that, starting at the end of September, anyone arriving in India on an e-tourist visa- visa that's available to residents of over 113 countries, including the United States will be automatically be issued a SIM card, along with a welcome packet that includes a dos and don'ts list, maps, and emergency contact information. The government will issue the SIM cards through BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited), a state-owned telecommunications company that's the sixth-largest mobile service provider in the country. 'We had a number of meetings with the Home Ministry with regard to providing SIM cards to foreigner tourists when they land in India,' Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma told Indian news agency PTI. 'The ministry has finally agreed to our proposal. Now, it will take some time to start the facility.' The initiative is expected to launch on September 27, the United Nations's World Tourism Day. According to a recent report issued by the World Travel & Tourism Council, tourism comprised more than 6 percent of India's total GDP in 2015. The unprecedented move to provide tourists with SIM cards 'comes as India attempts to attract more tourists,' Mashable reports. 'It will make things hassle-free for international tourists as it is not easy to procure a SIM for foreigners in the country,' a government official told the Daily Mail when the scheme was first proposed early this year. Having access to a working cell phone while traveling in a foreign country 'can also be helpful from the security point of view,' said the source.

Shatabadi Express Jaipur - Agra - Jaipur

We are delighted to inform you that finally the SHATABADI EXPRESS between Jaipur / Agra / Jaipur via Bharatpur has started wef 28th November, 2012 and shall operate six days a week EXCEPT Thursday as per train route enclosed with timings. It has Ac Executive Class ( 41 seats ) and Ac Chair Car ( 345 seats ) . The train will be operating on all the days of the week. Departure from Jaipur is at 0705hrs and arrival at 1035hrs at Agra Fort. And departure from Agra Fort is at 1620hrs arrival at Jaipur at 1950hrs. The trains will be running via Bharatpur halt.

Thailand VISA

Indian tourists travelling to Thailand after September 27, 2016 will be charged 2000THB for Visa on Arrival (VoA), according to the Royal Thai Embassy, New Delhi.. The reason for the doubling of the Visa on Arrival fee, which earlier stood at 1000THB, is to encourage tourists to apply for visas at Thai embassies or consular offices .
