03 Nights - 04 Days

Day 01: DELHI

Arrive at Delhi Airport & meet our representative and transfer to hotel.Perhaps there is no other capital city in the world so steeped in history and legend as the Indian capital Delhi. It was the magnet, which drew the Mongols,Turks,Persians,Afghans, Mughals and the British, all of whom contributed to its glorious but turbulent past. The fascination with Delhi was such that even though it was abandoned many times, its rulers returned to it again and again rebuilding it at least seven times.Today, the twin cities of Old and New Delhi still intrigue Indians and tourists alike as the cultural and political capital of the largest democracy in the world. On arrival, check in to the hotel.Rest of the day leisure till afternoon.Afternoon proceed for half day sight seeing of Old Delhi.Half day sightseeing of old Delhi takes you to the magnificent Red Fort,- a marvel in red sandstone, built on the banks of river Yamuna by the Mughal emperor Shah Jehan.Visit Raj Ghat (memorial to Mahatma Gandhi),Jama Masjid,- the largest mosque in India.Drive past Chandni Chowk, once an imperial avenue of Mughal Royalty which today is the busiest commercial area of the city.Savour the ambience of an oriental, crowded bazaar in Chandni Chowk.

Overnight: Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi - Agra - Delhi

After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed for full day excursion to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri.Agra in terms of ambiance is still associated with its Mughal period. The Mughals besides being great rulers were also great builders and they preserved their best architectural wonders for Agra & its neighbourhood. It has many wonderful monuments and the Taj Mahal, the greatest of them all,is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture at its best. The massive but elegant Agra Fort, the delicate artistry of Itimad-ud-daulah’s tomb, the magnificent Taj and Akbar’s deserted capital,Fatehpur Sikri, are each unique and outstanding. On arrival, visit the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort.Taj Mahal is everything that has been said about it and more.Taking 22 years and 20,000 men to build, the white marble was quarried 200 miles away and was transported to the site by a fleet of 1000 elephants.Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal,in mid 17th century, the Taj Mahal is truly one of the wonders of the world.Though the Taj appears to be amazingly perfect from almost any angle, it is the close-up marble inlay work, which is really astounding.

Agra Fort,an outstanding example of Mughal architecture.Agra Fort - the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. This was the seat of Mughal rule and administration and the present structure owes its origins to Akbar who erected the walls and gates and the first buildings on the eastern banks of Yamuna River.Shah Jehan added the impressive quarters and the mosque while Aurangzeb added the outer ramparts.

Later the visit Fatehpur Sikri. The magnificent fortified ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 as his capital and abandoned 15 years later, allegedly due to a severe scarcity of water. You will visit the graceful buildings within such as the Jami Masjid, the tomb of Salim Chisti, the Panch Mahal, Diwan I Khas and other palaces. It is a place where Islamic architecture fuses with Hindu and Jain decorative art.

Later after sight seeing, continue drive towards Delhi. On arrival,at Delhi you will be transfer to Delhi International Airport for onwards journey towards native place.

End of the tour with unforgotten memories.
