Day 01: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer (289 Kms - 4H 52Min)
Today arrive Jodhpur,you will be met and transfer to the hotel in Jaisalmer.The captivating city of Jaisalmer,founded by Prince Jaisal in 1156 AD,has been dubbed Golden City because of the honey colour imparted to its yellow sandstone walls by the setting sun.With the crenellated walls and narrow streets lined with exquisitely carved buildings,it has an extraordinary medieval feel.It was a major post in the desert trade route between India and Central Asia.
On arrival at Jaisalmer check-in to your hotel.Rest of the day at leisure for your personal activities.
Day 02: Jaisalmer
Breakfast at hotel.Thereafter proceed for sightseeing tour visiting the Jaisalmer Fort,Gadisar Lake,Jain temples,Patwon ki Haveli and Gyan Bhandar.
Later afternoon around 1500 Hrs take a camel ride on the ripples of wind caressed Sam-Sand-Dunes to witness the sunset.
Day 03: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur (287 Kms - 4H 41Min)
Early morning drive to Jodhpur,you will be met and transfer to the hotel in Jodhpur.Jodhpur,the second largest city in Rajasthan,lies at the entrance to the Thar desert in a region called Marwar.The old city,founded in 1459,is surrounded by a 10 km long wall.The massive Meherangarh Fort overlooks the city and the red sandstone palaces within the fort form one of the most impressive complexes in Rajasthan.Jodhpur is also called ‘blue city’ because of the indigo-washed houses in the old town.Thereafter proceed for a sightseeing tour of Jodhpur visiting Meherangarh Fort,Umaid Bhavan Palace,Jaswant Thada & Mandore.In the evening enjoy shopping at Nai Sadak.
Day 04: Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Udaipur (259 Kms - 5H 9Min)
After breakfast check-out of your hotel & drive to Udaipur en-route visiting Ranakpur.Ranakpur,about 90 km from Udaipur,is the largest Jain temple complex in India and dates to the 15th century.The main temple is dedicated to Adinath,the first Tirthankar.Intricate carvings detail mythological figures,patterns and motifs on the walls,pillars and domes.There are 1444 ornately carved marble pillars in the complex and none of them are similar.The beautiful lace-like interiors of the domes are a superb example of western Indian temple style.Surya temple and other Jain temples are side attractions.(Temples open only at 1100 Hrs.Leather belts,footwear,bare legs and black clothing not allowed)
Day 05: Udaipur
After breakfast at your hotel,proceed for sightseeing tour of Udaipur city visiting the City Palace,Saheliyon ki Bari,Pratap Memorial and Fatehsagar Lake.
Evening at leisure.
Day 06: Udaipur - Nathdwara - Udaipur
After breakfast,take a full day trip to Nathdwara,48 km from Udaipur.See the 18th century Shrinathji temple,one of the most important shrines for devotees of Krishna.This simple shrine houses a black stone image of Vishnu brought from Mathura in 1669 to protect it from Aurangzeb’s destructive forces.Non-Hindus are not allowed inside but the outside has interesting paintings.The 400-year old tradition of Picchwai painting (cloth paintings with religious themes) originated here. After your visit drive to the hotel in Udaipur.
Day 07: Udaipur
After your visit you will be transfer to Udaipur airport/railway station in time to board the train/flight to your onward destination.
