Day 01: Amritsar

On arrival at Amritsar meet and greet by our representative.Amritsar Founded in 1577 by Guru Ram Das,fourth Guru of the Sikhs,Amritsar (Pool of the Nectar of Immortality) is considered the centre of the Sikh religion.Now the second largest city of the Punjab state,it was once a junction of trade routes.The main attraction of Amritsar is the Golden Temple, the holiest of Sikh sites.The city itself is named after the sacred tank within this temple.Rest of the day at leisure to explore Amritsar on your own.

Day 02: Amritsar

After breakfast proceed for half day tour of Amritsar covering.On a half-day tour of the city,visit the Golden Temple,the spiritual nerve-centre of the Sikh faith.Also called Harmandir, the temple is made of white marble and copper gilt with its dome covered with gold leaf.Within is the Guru Granth Sahib,holy book of the Sikhs. See the community kitchen (langar) where volunteers’ feed 30,000 people free daily. Later visit the historic Jallianwala Bagh,which commemorates the hundreds of innocent Indians killed or wounded by British bullets in the most notorious massacre under their rule. Also see the beautiful Ram Bagh gardens.Afternoon proceed for Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border - between Amritsar and Lahore, is an elaborate complex of buildings, roads and barriers on both sides. The daily highlight is the evening "Beating the Retreat" ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause.

Day 03: Amritsar - Dharamshala (209 Kms - 4 H 9Min)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Dharamshala.Dharamshala is a charming little hill resort 90 km from Pathankot and 197 km from Amritsar. The Dalai Lama, the head of Tibetan Buddhism,settled here after the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1959.Day at leisure to explore Dharamshala on your own.

Overnight: Dharamshala.

Day 04: Dharamshala

After breakfat proceed for McLeodganj,the Tibetan part of the town,attracts the bulk of visitors.One can visit the Namgyal monastery,Kalachakra temple and the Norbulingka institute of Tibetan culture.Within walking distance is the waterfall and temple of Bhagsunath.Return back to Dharamshala.

Overnight: Dharamshala.

Day 05: Dharamshala - Dalhousie (117 Kms - 3 H 27Min)

After breakfast proceed to Dalhousie.On arrival check in to your hotel.Afternoon enjoy local sightseeing,visit Panjpulla,Subash Bowli and Stature Falls.

Day 06: Dalhousie

After breakfast proceed to Chamba enroute visiting Khajjair.Located at the center of the sloping meadows is a small bog like pond into which water from the surrounding meadows and forests drains.Khajjiar was probably a glacial bowl for med during the last Himalayan ice age and left with a lake that gradually withered away. Khajjiar is part of the notified Kalatop – Khajjiar sanctuary. The Monal Pheasant, a bird which was fairly common till recent times has become relatively difficult to spot nowadays.

Overnight: Dalhousie.

Day 07: Dalhousie - Jammu (180 Kms - 4H 30Min)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Jammu.The City of Jammu is popularly known as the "City of Temeples". innumerable temples and shrines with glittering "Shikhars" soar into the sky, like caretakers of the city,creating the ambience of a truly holy city.Evening visit Raghunath Temple.

Day 08: Jammu

After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Domestic airport/railway station to connect onward destination.

End of the tour with unforgotten memories.



Railways New Year's Gift for Pilgrims: Soon a new railway line will make Dhanushkodi and Ram Setu accessible via train.


The near-defunct toy train in Darjeeling made famous by the iconic Bollywood movie Aradhana will now start a new run. The mini train will run 18 kms between Siliguri Junction & Rongtong a top tourist spot near Darjeeling also stopping at Sukna.


More than 5,100 specially trained Railway employees, including 2,600 RPF Personnel, have been tasked with assisting devotees in Kumbh Mela. Equipped with offline ticket-vending machines, these Rail Kumbh Sevaks will operate as mobile vendors & can be easily approached for tickets

Fog No Hurdle: Railways will use an innovative algorithm-based system to accurately predict train delays & inform passengers accordingly. In addition, fog safety devices are being used to alert loco pilots of approaching signals in case of poor visibility


Train Ticket Examiners will now be equipped with a Hand-Held Terminal that will enable them to officially mark an empty seat, automatically upgrading the status of waitlisted passengers who will now board the train with the assurance of a confirmed ticket
